Two more bands from this very active metal-edge scene of the late 90's in Belgium. This split EP was released in 1999. It plays good hardcore metal, borderline deathcore, between ARKANGEL and LIAR, there is a place for them. KOMBAT released more stuff, RAPTURE just have a demo and this record.

TWO BY FOUR : Ain'ts Ta Be Fucked With - 7"

 

The band was from the USA, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. They didn't release much. This EP is from 1998, on Cartel rds. There are 4 tracks of big, muscular hardcore, very NYHC inspired. Nothing new but it's efficient.

NEGATE : between anger and pain - CD

 

This is a band from Belgium that I listened to a lot. Their demo was a good kill, and this first CD (released in 1998) is a real head turner. Very metal and aggressive hardcore, close to the sound of H8000 Crew but with a little something extra. Then the band evolved towards an even more metal style.

The band was from New York (USA), and this EP was released in 1997. There have been a few demos, as well as splits and an album. ONE LAST SIN played dark and metal newschool hardcore. The first wave of deathcore.

This EP was released in 1997, for this band from New Jersey (USA). They didn't release much. They were playing hardcore newschool with a lot of punch.

Monsters of the Belgian hardcore metal scene, with this split released in 1997. On one side a piece of CONGRESS, still as furious, and on the other side DEFORMITY with an even more metal, deathcore approach. Good slap for sure!

AWOL / HEADWAY : split - 7"

Split EP released in 1998 on Mosh Bart rds, with two bands from France, for a very metal hardcore trend. AWOL (from Rennes) offers a long dark deathcore track, while HEADWAY (from Toulouse) opts for a more intense approach of hardcore.

ASFIXIA : s/t - 7"

 

Asfixia was a hardcore band from Bilbao (Basque Country) active between 2005 and 2007.
Musically influenced by the emocrust/neocrust and the screamo of the '00s (Ekkaia, Tragedy, Envy) but also by the '90s emotive hc-punk-crust (Anomie, Lost World, Unhinged). Politically by the vegan/anarchist/anti-industrial ideas. This 7" was make in 2006
