GET LOST : unity is fucking dead - CD

After a 2005 demo, GET LOST, an sXe band from Paris, France, released this maxi CD in 2007, co-produced with various labels, including Kawaii rds. The band played old-school hardcore, very direct, sometimes similar to FLOORPUNCH.

 A split EP released in 2000, featuring old-school sXe hardcore. The American band BLOODPACT plays very fast, somewhat fastcore music. On the Dutch side, REACHING FORWARD's style is more nervous and aggressive.

APPROACH was a sxe band from Chile, which had released two EPs. This is their second, from 2007. It features 4 tracks of oldschool hardcore, rather classic but effective and energetic.

SHOCKWAVE : warpath - 7"

 

First EP released in 1998 for this band from the USA (Erie), aligning all the clichés of the hard branch of the straight-edge movement. Their hardcore newschool is close to the beginnings of EARTH CRISIS. The gang released several albums, and later formed xDISCIPLEx AD.

LAST QUIET TIME: s/t - 7"

LAST QUIET TIME (Paris) was one of the few French bands to play pure oldschool hardcore (youthXcrew, sXe). They only released this 7", in 2003. With members of VALUE DRIVEN, HARDxTIMES, GET LOST, their style was close to CHAMPION, AMERICAN NIGHTMARE.

Petit tour en Italie, en 1997, avec un des premiers groupes (Italiens) de la vague hardcore ouvertement straight edge et vegan. Une musique bien metal et lourde, dans la mouvance newschool alors en plein essor. On pense à EARTH CRISIS.

RANCOR: Flip The Switch / Never Hold Back - EP

Fin des années 90's, le revival youthXcrew bat son plein, avec entre autres des groupes comme TEN YARD FIGHT, BETTER THAN A THOUSAND, FLOORPUNCH, ATARI, HALFMAST... RANCOR est aussi de la partie. Ils étaient de Pennsylvanie. Une K7 à leur actif, et ces deux vinyles 7", sorti respectivement en 1997 et 1998. Des torpilles oldschool hardcore sXe bien énergiques et posi, qui donne le smile et la fritte. Attention, à la même époque, il y avait un groupe Hollandais du même nom, dans un style newschool HC.
