ANMA was a band from Japan (Sapporo) that played old-school hardcore in the youth crew style, with a very positive attitude. Their name stood for ANTI NEGATIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE. This demo was released in 2000.

A band from Japan. MY LOVE played hardcore music somewhere between old school and modern, like many HC bands from there, with energy and passion. This EP dates back to 2006. I don't know if they released anything else.

CANOPUS : endless sacrifice - CD

CANOPUS was a Japanese band with a fairly short career. This EP is their last, released in 2009. I don't know if they were sXe, but their very metal hardcore style was heavily inspired by the metalXedge scene and the H8000 sound.

CATTY WITCH / DEADLINE: split - CD

Split CD sorti en 2004 avec deux ayant une chanteuse. D'abord CATTY WITCH du Japon, punk-rock un peu 77 dans l'esprit, et légèrement garage dans le son et le rythme. DEADLINE d'Angleterre sont bien connu, street-punk très entrainant et propre, avec un rythme nerveux et entrainant. Leurs deux premiers albums étaient sympa, mais leur style est vite lassant à la longue.

V/A: honey pie - CD

Petit tour au Japon avec cette compile CD emballée dans une pochette format EP. Sorti en 1998, on y trouve 11 groupes dans un registre garage pop-punk. Il y a des trucs très entrainant, d'autres plus sauvage, toujours très cool en tout cas. Citons les BANANA ERECTORS, KAFFEINE, MEAT 054, USA et d'autres dont les noms sont en Japonais. Mais rien que pour le titre des BANANA ça vaut le coup. Ha oui, il s'agit que de groupes féminins ou avec chanteuse.

SAMCHUNG / 13 STEPS: split - CD

Toujours sur le continent Asiatique, avec deux pays différent. SAMCHUNG sont de Corée du Sud. Ils ont plusieurs albums à leur actif, dont certains sur Townhall rds. 13 STEPS sont du Japon voisin. Je ne connais pas plus que ça. Les deux groupes optent pour la catégorie hardcore bourre-pif, école NYHC.

FC FIVE: super bloom - CD

Groupe du Japon qui doit rappeler quelques souvenirs aux gens de Nevers. En effet, ces gars d'Ibaraki ont eu l'occasion de jouer deux fois à Nevers. La première fois en 2005, avec je crois BANE, voir VERSE. Je sais plus trop, tout façon c'était le groupe nippon que je voulais voir. Et en 2007, retour du coté de Sauvigny, avec RITUAL, FIRE AT WILL et 86 REMAINS. C'était bien cool, j'en garde un bon souvenir. FC FIVE c'est du hardcore dans la lignée oldschool moderne, très proche de VERSE. Cet album date de 2007.

BATTLE OF DISARM: benefit Okara - K7

Voilà un des premiers groupes crustpunk que j'ai écouté vers 1994, sur une K7 de Fred Earquake zine. Un groupe du Japon, très actif politiquement (anti militariste/nucléaire), jouant du bon crust qui tache, et ne s’emmerde pas de mélodies épiques! Cette K7 regroupe pas mal de titres, et était sorti en bénéfice au lieu autogéré, l'Okara, prêt de Vichy. Je ne sais pas si le groupe (et l'Okara) existe encore. Deux pistes (face A/B), pas eu le courage de séparer tous les titres!
