ARTIMUS PYLE / DIALLO : split - 7"

 

Two American bands for this split EP released in 2003 on the Swedish label Busted Heads rds. ARTIMUS PYLE (San Francisco) is quite famous in the scene, through an album and many EPs. They played direct and intense hardcore/crust. DIALLO (Connecticut) have just released a few EPs. We stay in a similar register, but with a darker approach, like crust deluxe.

Third EP for this band from New York County (Montgomery) and released on the Belgian label RPP rds. INNER DAM was good newschool hardcore, powerful and jerky, and that doesn't forget the melodic lines.

WITH THE EYES OF CONRAD VEIDT : s/t - CDR

 

Small CD by the size (3" in the shape of a heart!) small CD by the duration, about 5 mn for this project (one-man band?) from Germany. There are 5 tracks of violent, chaotic, crazy hardcore/metal with grind touches. Very furious! It was released in 2007.

First album for this American band, from Connecticut, released in 2007. We find good oldschool hardcore sXe/youthcrew, very energetic and positive as it should be. Great!

ANALENA / UNISON : split - 7"

Two groups from Eastern Europe. ANALENA, from Croatia (Zagreb) and its very pleasant emocore with female vocals. UNISON from Serbia (Belgrade), in a more classic hardcore sXe vein. This split is released in 2001.

Unique CD release for this French band, dating from 2002, on Impure Muzik rds. The band played a chaotic and metal hardcore, with some intense screamo touches.

BLOODY REJECTS : la verita preval - CD

 I have no information about this band (whose line-up is partly female). I believe this CD was released between 2010 and 2015, but I'm not sure. It was a band from Singapore, and it played good, high-energy, and angry hardcore.

JENNIFER EIGHT : spooky - 7"

 

Yet another German band that had a very short career, in the emo wave. This unique EP was released in 1997. It is rather calm emopop with a subtle intensity and noisy touches.

DELUGE : spot in the shadow - CD

 

Another band where there is not much information. I had seen them in a festival in 2002 (Blasting Days Fest). They were a band from Holland, and this album was released in 2000. The band was playing hardcore, rather metal, but still melodic and intense.

A unique EP for this band that was from Germany. It dates from 1999. No more information. This band played some nice emo music.

Split EP between two German bands, released in 2001. THE [JUKEBOX] SCENARIO plays emocore that is both tense and composed. WINSTON is wilder, in a very r'n'r screamo way.

This band was from Hungary, and this EP was released in 2000. They released several records, tapes, and EPs, including a split with DARKEST HOUR, to give an idea of the style. Hardcore metal sometimes chaotic.

A split EP released in 1999 with two hardcore metal bands sXe. ABSONE was from France, with members of PRIMAL AGE among others. DECONTAMINATE was from the USA (Utah). Both bands also released one album each. XmetalXedgeX in action!

ALL OR NOTHING HC : All Of These Are Days Of The Dead - 7"

 I don't know this band from USA (California) very well, and I only have this EP, released in 2007, on Emancypunx rds. They have released 3 or 4 albums though. It's a good energetic hardcore, between oldschool and some NYHC and punk touches, with a female vocal. Very efficient.

ANALENA : Arhythmetics - 7"

 

First EP released in 2000 for this band from Zagreb, Croatia. They have released a few split EPs and two albums. Here we find an excellent, great emocore, melodious and very touching, with a female vocal. I like it very much. There is also a cover of Kylie Minogue! https://analena.bandcamp.com
